Commit Six

Six months of prayer for seeds sown on campus for ministry with college students, faculty & staff, and graduate students: Thanks for your commitment to pray with Kirsten & Miles for these specific areas of mission this month:

Welcome to a new ministry for faculty & staff on campus...

Welcome to a new ministry for faculty & staff on campus…

MONTH FOUR –  “Lord, we see you at work to transform lives, renew the campus, and develop world changers and are eager to partner with You to bring Glory to you. Give us eyes to see where we can invest in your mission on these days:

TODAY: the most intense month connecting newcomers to people and resources that point them toward a new or deeper relationship with Jesus.
Wednesday, August 21: Faculty return for workshops, and graduate student orientation. Kirsten volunteering at registration to warmly welcome EVERY new graduate student.
Sunday, August 25: International student picnic to welcome “the world” takes place in the garden space of Kirsten’s home (hosted by ministry allies)
Monday, August 26: First day of class for students and faculty. Join us in praying for a great beginning, transparent Christian faculty, and engaged students eager to learn and think critically about materials and issues of faith.
 IV Leaders
Wednesday, September 4: Mainstreet student organizations fair. Miles and student leaders will greet and connect with hundreds of students looking to jump into something… pray that they would be drawn to seek Jesus with their peers.
September follow-up: New contacts, first conversations, sign-up sheets need faithful and caring follow-up to establish relationships that introduce people to Jesus, discover God’s Word together, ponder Kingdom-sized dreams, and go out together with Christ into the world — beginning with loving our ‘neighbors.’
With praise, for what You have already done and will do to win the hearts and minds of all peoples, Amen!”
